too cool for school.

backpack; prada.

it arrived in the mail this morning.
originally introduced in 1985, this prada model (the vela backpack) has been a best seller for almost 20 years.
i'm now the proud owner of a mint 1986 edition :-)

since its introduction in the eighties, a small saffiano leather triangle has been added behind the triangle prada logo on the outside.

the september issue.

each year, VOGUE's september issue is the fattest magazine on news stands everywhere; jam packed with page after page of advertisements, editorials and articles dictating what the coming year will bring in fashion.

here are a few images that popped out at me:

cover girl halle berry looks gorgeous (as always) - but isn't she a little irrelevant? she's been MIA for years! she killed it in such movies as monster's ball and swordfish and was seen all over the place! catwoman knocked her down a few pegs and after that disaster of a movie she propelled into mama mode after the birth of her daughter nahla. <---- what in there screams VOGUE cover? nothing. moving on:

yay! right at the start two ads had me jumping for joy- yet another GO international line with a designer label at target is on it's way! as well as a collaboration w/ alexa chung at madewell!

i love nothing more than affordable fashion. and these are prime examples of just that :-)

the beaded pucci mask in this neiman ad is to die for.

marc jacobs and christina ricci, mk & a, karlie - too much to handle.

obsessed.

the color pallet in this editorial was flawless.
the way that orange was used w/ black and white w/out creating a halloween vibe is astounding.
the lace, the sheer, the leather - all of it is brilliant.

and i end with this simple MOSCHINO ad, which i for some reason am absolutely in love with.
so simple. so italian. so chic.
